Namho ChungNamho Chung, CCIM in charge of Commercial Department at ERA East West Realty, Inc., one of the leading real estate companies in the Bay Area serving Korean real estate investors.
Mr. Chung began his career as fund manager and broker with Coryo Investment and Securities Corporation, where he rose to the position of Vice President after ten years and was consistently recognized as the top-earning broker. He was also credited with successful marketing and overseeing numerous M&A and real estate transactions. His extensive and deep client relationships – clients who represent major economic drivers of the Korean economic engine - are invaluable assets in trans-Pacific investment relationships.
In 2003, he set off in a new and challenging direction and moved his real estate business to the San Francisco area, one of the major gateways to Asia, to offer real estate investment services to Korean institutional and individual investors. His mission is simple: find investment opportunities and facilitate partnerships between Korean investors and American real estate operators for mutual success.
In addition to the 10 years of stock fund manager experience, Mr. Chung’s background includes 10 years of commercial real estate in both Korea and the United States. Mr. Chung has participated in numerous high profile transactions. Representative cases of M&A include the takeover of Hanil Investment Trust Corp., Ltd. by Korea Xerox Co.(agent for buyer) and the successful sale of Tongyang Investment Trust Corp. of the Kabool Group to Samsung Life Insurance (agent for seller), which was the biggest deal in the Korean mergers and acquisition market at the time. Representative cases of Real Estate include the disposition of Coryo Securities and Investment Building (470,656sf) to Hewlett Packard Korea (seller’s representative) and the disposition of SK Corporation Building (440,767sf) to Kyobo Securities and Investment Co. (seller’s representative).
Mr. Chung holds a MBA degree in International Business Management from the Business School in Sung-Kyun-Kwan University, a BA degree in International Business from Kaemyoung University, attended Securities Analysis courses at the New York Institute of Finance. He has been a CCIM Designee (Certified Commercial Investment Member) since 2002 and is a member of both the Northern California CCIM Chapter and South Korea CCIM Chapter.
Dean AllaraMr. Allara brings 15 years experience with real estate ownership, fund management, development, asset management, capital syndication and investor relations. Mr. Allara is a Principal with Bridge Investment Group, LLC, a leading real estate operating and development company in the western United States, where he has been involved in capital sourcing along with all phases of the investment decision-making process. In addition, he has extensive experience in property development including permits and zoning, master planning, debt financing, insurance, construction management, HOA management, and residential marketing and sales.
Prior to his work with Bridge, Mr. Allara had ten-year career with Trace Digital, a leading supplier of software manufacturing equipment worldwide, where he rose from a Regional Sales Manager to President and CEO before completing a successful ale of the company in 2000.
Mr. Allara earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the St. Mary’s College in 1984, which included one year at Loyola University of Rome, Italy. He also earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University in 1986 with a semester at the Tokyo University studying Business Law.
